Simge Sohtorik graduated from Mathematics Education Program at Boğaziçi University in 2006. She received an M.S. degree in Curriculum and Instruction program from Yıldız Technical University in 2010 by making a research on the effectiveness of social constructivist curriculum in 6th grade mathematics course. Since 2006, Simge worked in various after school training centers and she has been teaching mathematics for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders at respectable private schools in İstanbul. She has got many trainings including educational technology, maker program and lions quest. She has participated in various seminars and workshops like ATC, TÖZOK, EDK, ETK both as a speaker and listener. She has trained her students both for international and national mathematics contests like Tübitak and also for extra curricular tournaments like Destination Imagination and Logic Games. She took a role in the school part of the “University within School Partnership Project” by co-working with apprentice teachers. Concurrently she has worked voluntarily as a mentor for the BUMED’s Mentoring Program.
