Biography

Sangita has been teaching since 2001. She began her teaching career at high school level and then joined USP in 2010 as a part time marker/tutor. In 2012, she was recruited as part of the Teaching Team for the generic Course “Pacific Worlds (UU204). Her academic interest follows research on quality of teaching and learning at higher education context within the Pacific. She has participated and presented in 2013 ODN Conference held at USP and 2014 Vaka Pasifiki Education Conference held in Tonga. She published her first paper titled ‘Providing opportunities for equality: Pacific islands students’ experiences and perception on the use of ICT and e-learning”, in the Journal of Pacific Studies Vol 35, No.1 (2015). Currently, Sangita is working towards completion of her Master of Arts thesis on a topic relating to culture inclusivity and student experiences within the USP context.
