Biography

"Sally is a Speech and Language Therapist with expertise of working with children and young people with complex special educational and healthcare needs. She joined the School of Health Sciences in 2014 as a Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy. She completed her PGCert in Academic Practice in 2015 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Sally has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist in London for 19 years. She specialises in working with children with complex needs across the age range. Her work has included support regarding eating and drinking difficulties (dysphagia), alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), Autism and a range of neurodevelopmental disabilities. She is a registered Makaton regional tutor. Sally is a committee member of the UK Swallowing Research Group (UKSRG) and a RCSLT Research Champion.."
