Research Intrest

My current research focuses on the relationship between poverty, privilege and social justice. Recent articles explore the operation of privilege in social justice struggles, NGO work and anti-racist efforts. I am also currently researching the topic of institutional culture in higher education institutions in South Africa, particularly with regard to the operation of white privilege in such institutions. More generally, my research interests are focused on the politics of development, African political economy and social theory.
