Biography

"Rosemary joined the School of Health Science as a Health Visiting Lecturer (part-time) in September 2014. She has worked for over 30 years in the NHS: 20+ years as a midwife in Wales, and 10 years in Tower Hamlets as a Health Visitor. As a midwife, she supported women at homebirths and in Tower Hamlets became a Specialist Practice Teacher (SPT) and a Safeguarding Children Supervisor. For 17 months she was seconded as a Safeguarding Children Advisor to the Trust's Safeguarding Children Team. She has a BSc (Hons) in Specialist Practice Public Health (2005) and is currently undertaking a Post-graduate Certificate in Education at City University."

Research Intrest

Rosemary's areas of expertise are: professional regulation, safeguarding children, breastfeeding and perinatal mental health.
