He was born on September 19, 1973 in Acatzingo, Puebla. Mexico. His studies in Computer Science were done first at the Benemérita Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) and then he completed a Masters in Sciences at the Center for Scientific Research and Higher Studies of Ensenada (CICESE) in Baja California. From 1999 to 2001 he taught at the Faculty of Sciences and at the Faculty of Engineering of the Autonomous University of Baja California. It was in 2002 when he had the opportunity to join the Computational Genomics Program (PGC) of the then Center for Research on Nitrogen Fixation, now the Center for Genomic Sciences. Initially, their activities were focused on planning, sometimes they have been focused on the supervision and most of the time to the administration and support to users of Information Technology. It has been a fundamental part in the consolidation of the computational infrastructure, both of the Center of Genomic Sciences and of the Degree in Genomic Sciences. His interest in parallel computing and high performance have led him to propose and implement alternatives that have served to satisfy the computational needs of the PGC. This same interest has led him to participate in international schools on "High Performance Clusters" and "GRID Computing" and also has allowed him to collaborate with other entities for the construction of an interinstitutional GRID. At the same time, he is responsible for the coordination and logistics of videoconferencing in the CCG and in the LCG. With the Information Technology Management (ATI) group, it aims to become a management model and provider of IT solutions, based on quality standards for the entire bioinformatics and genomic science community in Mexico and Latin America.
