Biography

Dr.Richard Osei-Amponsah is currently working as a Lecturer in Department of Animal Science, University of Ghana.

Research Intrest

Area of research covers utilization of quantitative and molecular genetics as tools for the sustainable use of Animal Genetic Resources. Specifically development of sustainable animal breeding programmes for low input-livestock systems; characterization of local animal genetic resources and identification of genes of economic importance in the Ashanti Dwarf pig for introgression into crossbred pigs.
