Biography

I qualified as a nurse in 2006 and spent my earlier career consolidating my skills in an acute care setting. I became a nurse prescriber in 2009 and spent the rest of my career on an out of hours setting providing treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, including help set up and run a minor injuries unit in Hertfordshire. In addition to this I have helped provide medical cover at various events throughout the country, working closely with our paramedic colleagues with a view of building up my pre-hospital experience and expertise. I joined The University in 2015 as a Senior Lecturer providing teaching for the NMC approved Nurse Prescribing Course. Recently I became the Course co-ordinator for the NMC post–reg specialist courses that are run both at the University and also within the hospitals I qualified as a nurse in 2006 and spent my earlier career consolidating my skills in an acute care setting.
