In 2004, Dr Hammami completed his Masters degree in Biochemistry in the Institute Pasteur in Tunis at the University of Tunis El Manar. He received a Joint Doctorate in Biology from the University of Tunis El Manar, Tunisia and University of Lille1 - Sciences & Technologies, France. After completing his Ph.D. in 2009, Dr. Hammami started his post-doctoral training at the Department of Food Science and Nutrition in Laval University, Canada. His research interests include development of databases and data mining methodology, development of bioinformatics tools, systems biology, as well as the development of peptides as novel antimicrobials and anti-infective agents.
