Dr. Nagarajan is an Associate Professor in the Division of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His areas of research includes Translational Bioinformatics, Personalized Medicine, Neuroinformatics, Knowledge Discovery from Heterogeneous data, Network Science/Graphical Models, Open-Source Implementation and Comparative Effectiveness Research. His research has been funded by NIH/NSF and he is actively involved in the informatics/evaluation component of Clinical Translational Science Award. He also serves on the editorial boards of multiple peer-reviewed journals and conferences that falls under his expertise. He is an active member of societies such as the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA), Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB).
