Biography

He was born in Szolnok in 1971. In 1995 he received a general medical degree, and in 2000 he obtained a PhD degree at Semmelweis University. In 1997 he was a DAAD Scholarship (Aachen, Germany). From 1998 to 2002, Fulbright Scholarship Researcher (Memphis, United States). In 2002 he returned home with Zoltán Magyary. Between 2004 and 2010, he was a senior research fellow of the 1st Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research Institute of the Semmelweis University, and since 2010 he was the Researcher of the Patobiochemical Working Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. From 2005 to 2015, he is the Scientific Director of the Rational Contraceptive Laboratory Research Cooperative Research Center. From 2006 he is chairman of the Scientific and Bioethics Committee of the Hungarian Biotechnology Association. In 2003 he co-founded KPS Medical Biotechnology Ltd. From 2012 he is the scientific director of KPS Diagnosztika Zrt. From 2016 he was CEO of Oncompass Medicine Zrt. His research area is an examination of the mechanism of action of targeted anticancer drugs and the development of molecular diagnostic methods and bioinformatics for their personalized application. More than 60 scientific publications, including Nature Review Drug Discovery. His work has contributed pioneer to the practical use of molecular medicine research in personalized treatment of cancer patients. In recognition of this, in 2012 Dénes Gábor Award was awarded. In January 2016, in the silicum valley, the world-wide personalized medicine conference (Mountain View, PMWC 2016), he introduced a freely available IT system developed by his colleagues to provide the most effective personalized targeted treatment for cancer patients with cancer.
