Biography

Dr. Pei Zhang, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, received her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2005 from the South China Normal University. After graduation, she started to teach Mathematics in a private middle school in Guangzhou, China. She earned her Master’s degree in 2008 and a Ph. D. in Applied Mathematics in 2011 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. During her study in graduate school, she instructed classes as a Teaching Assistant for five years and received the 2010-2011 Rhodes Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.
