Research Intrest

Metagenomics of Infectious Disease. My reseach focuses on characterizing new and emerging infectious diseases using metagenomics approaches to identify novel pathogens and host gene expression profiles. This involves the identification of viruses and bacteria using a combination of PCR for conserved genetic regions, pathogen microarrays and mass sequencing.
