Dr.P.Venkatachalam is the professor of the Department of Biotechnology at Periyar University. He pursued her under graduation from University of Madras in the year 1987. He awarded Ph.D from IISc, Bangalore in the year 1998. he has 16 years of teaching and 22 year of research experience His Research Areas are Plant Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Mutation Breeding, Plant Tissue Culture & Genetic Transformation, Phytoremediation, Nanobiotechnology, Plant Sciences.
