Pellas Nikolaos, M.Ed. is a Ph.D. candidate and teaching assistant in Virtual Reality and Digital game-based learning courses at the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering, University of the Aegean, in Greece. He holds a Master degree in Education. His thesis was about the utilization of 3-D virtual worlds in e-Education, in which he proposed an organizational-cybernetic framework. His research interests include the use of 3D open-source virtual worlds as “Metaverse†skins in contemporary instructional formats (blended or online) for collaborative learning tasks. He has published more than 32 articles in peer-reviewed Journals, International or National Conferences and book chapters for the domain of instructional design, by utilizing 3D multi-user virtual worlds.Â
Pellas research interests include the use of 3-D open-source virtual worlds as “Metaverse†skins in contemporary instructional formats (blended or online) for collaborative learning tasks and their impact on humans’ behavior.Â
