Biography

  Columbia University, USA (B.A., 1996); Stanford University, USA (Ph.D., 2001); Harvard University, USA (Postdoc, 2001-2003); University of Cyprus (Lecturer 2003-2007, Assistant Professor 2007-2012, Associate Professor 2012-present).

Research Intrest

Theoretical High Energy Physics and String Theory. Particular areas of research: Holographic gauge theory/gravity dualities, Black holes, Non-commutative geometry, Spontaneous supersymmetry breaking and finite temperature in string theory, String Cosmology and Inflation. Applications of string dualities and non-commutative geometry in the study of strongly coupled condensed matter systems.
