Nata Amiryarahmadi is an industrial doctoral student at the Divison of Applied Acoustics, research group Vibroacoustics, at Chalmers. Her research area is building acoustics with the main focus on noise and vibrations in lightweight buildings. Her research project is carried out in collaboration with SP technical research institute of Swedish. One of the main outcomes of Nata’s research project is discovering correlation of transmitted impact noise with impact source characteristics and dynamic behavior of lightweight floors. Besides using available models and conventional measurement methods, her research involves developing a new force measurement technique which can measure transient forces with very low frequency content. Nata is also involved in teaching in some of the courses in the Master’s program “Sound and Vibration”.
