Biography

Nancy Gallagher became a full time faculty member at Rivier in Spring of 2006. Nancy Graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1993 with a BS in Nursing. After graduation, she began her nursing career at a large medical center in Denver, Colorado on a Medical Surgical Unit. After returning to New England Nancy continued her nursing career in a variety of settings, including ICU, Surgical Vascular Unit, and Home Care. Nancy’s roles included preceptoring new orientees and mentoring nursing students. It was during this time that she discovered her interest in nursing education. Nancy completed a Masters in Nursing with a Cognate in Education from University of New Hampshire in 2005. As a clinical instructor she is able to draw from her many years of experience to help educate future nurses.
