Dr. Muhammad Abrar Barakzai, currently an Assistant Professor in Pathology, College of Medicine, Alfaisal University Riyadh Saudi Arabia, since September 2011 to date. He delivers tutorial lectures, conducts PBL sessions, prepares and reviews MCQs and SAQs in General and Systemic Pathology to undergraduate medical students. Prior to his current assignment, Dr. Barakzai worked as an Assistant Professor and Consultant Histopathologist at Aga Khan University/Hospital, Karachi, Pakistan for over 8 years. Dr. Barakzai graduated with MBBS degree from Liaquat Medical College Jamshoro, Pakistan in 1983, and successfully completed his MPhil in Histopathology from Postgraduate Medical Institute, Punjab University, Lahore in 1990. He continued his academic and professional accomplishments, and completed his Fellowship (FCPS) in Histopathology from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) in 2005, with his main research interest in "Prostate tumours and Gastrointestinal Pathology". Dr. Barakzai further pursued and successfully completed special trainings in GI & Pancreatobiliary Pathology from Brigham & Women Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA, and Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, Canada. His professional teaching and clinical experience spans over 23 years in various medical institutions and hospitals in Pakistan, as well as in Saudi Arabia, and has attended numerous international medical Conferences including own medical presentations and also attended workshops in medical education. To his credit, Dr. Barakzai has written several cancer-related publications in International Journals.
