Biography

Department of Rehabilitation Medicine consists of seven divisions of the overall services. Five divisions is under the administration of the department as a whole, namely Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Prosthetics and Orthotics Workshop and Rehabilitation Technology and Wheelchair Workshop. However, one part is under the joint administration of Ambulatory Services for the Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic and one more joint services with In-Patient Services for Ward 9SA (Rehabilitation). The role and function of this department is providing a comprehensive and holistic clinical treatment for Rehabilitation Medicine. In addition, it became the site of teaching for various medical and health-related affiliate of Rehabilitation Medicine. The department serves as the heart of research and development in the field of Rehabilitation Medicine. Department of Rehabilitation Medicine began operating in the South Tower Buildings on December 3, 2012 and all rehabilitation services have been in place in the building. On December 5, 2013 Speech Therapy service has changed locations ranging from level 1 to level 7 South Tower. In addition, patients in the ward service restoration or known as Ward 9SA became fully operational in level 9, the South Tower began on May 18, 2013.  Ward provides 44 beds and 3 patients a head injury (Acquired Brain Injury).  Rehabilitation clinic also provides consultation and treatment five days a week to patients in various fields of specialization.
