Undergraduate studies at the Department of History and Archaeology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece (1999-2003). Postgraduate Studies at the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London (MA in Art History, 2004-5, and PhD in Art History, 2005-10). He has taught as special scientist at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Cyprus (2007/8). He holds the position of Lecturer in the History of Western Art at the Department of History and Archaeology, University of Cyprus, where he has been teaching since January 2011.
Medieval art and architecture in Europe. His current research focuses on Gothic architecture and sculpture in France and the Latin East. More specific interests include the role of the design process in Gothic building, the uses of space in medieval monasteries and ecclesiastical precincts, as well as the interplay of ritual, architectural form and 'sacred topography' in late medieval churches.
