Biography

Dr. Kapiloff earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences in 1991 at the University of California, San Diego, in the laboratory of Dr. M. Geoffrey Rosenfeld, a HHMI investigator and member of the National Academy of Sciences. He graduated from UCSD with a Doctorate of Medicine in 1992 and completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of Utah in 1995.Dr. Kapiloff was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Oregon Health and Science University in Portland. From 2007 to 2017, he was Director of the Cardiac Signal Transduction and Cellular Biology Laboratory at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami
