Biography

Holds B.Sc. (summa cum laude) and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Science, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences (specialization in Computer Engineering) from Southern Illinois University, USA. She works in the area of computer aided design, testing and reliability of modern VLSI circuits and embedded systems. Her research interests include state-of-the-art CAD algorithms for automatic testing, diagnosis and verification, fault tolerance and reliability, intelligent methods for on-line/dynamic resilient hardware, all applicable to large-scale VLSI circuits as well as reusable embedded cores integrated into whole chip-level architectures such as SoCs, NoCs, and large-scale on-chip multiprocessors. She is a member of the faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus and a founding member of KIOS. Maria is an IEEE Member and reviewer for various journals and conferences. She has served on the Technical Program Committees of numerous conferences, such as DATE, ETS, DFTS, IOLTS, etc. She served as the Program Chair for DFTS’15, and General Chair for DFTS’16 and ETS’17.

Research Intrest

Design and test automation for VLSI and embedded systems, including testing and fault diagnosis; design for testability; microprocessor test; fault tolerance and reliability; on-line/dynamic intelligent methods for resilient hardware.
