Biography

Associate Prof. in Ancient History and Epigraphy, Department of History and Archaeology, University of Cyprus. Studies - PhD in History, University Paris I - Panthéon Sorbonne (2003). PhD thesis: Le culte impérial en Achaïe sous les Julio-claudiens et les Flaviens. Supervisor: Prof. Michel Christol. - DEA (Master) in Histoire et Civilisation de l’Antiquité, University Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne (1995). - Bachelor of History and Archaeology, University of Athens (1992). Professional career - Lecturer, then Assistant and Associate Prof. in Ancient History and Epigraphy, Department of History and Archaeology, University of Cyprus (2004 - today). - Researcher in the Greek and Greco-roman Civilization, Foundation of the Hellenic World (FHW), Athens (1998-1999). - Scholarship holder, then assistant researcher in the Centre of Greek and Roman Antiquity (KERA), National Research Foundation (EIE) in Athens (1993-2003). Main research programme: Nomina Romana. Research director: Prof. Athanasios Rizakis.

Greek and Latin Epigraphy; Historical Geography and Topography of the civic and sacred landscape; Monuments and Architecture; Royal and Imperial Cult; Roman Prosopography.
