Biography

Scientific activity:  Genetics and breeding of radicchio (molecular fingerprinting, gene cloning, assisted selection) ;reproductive systems of plants (male sterility in soybeans, self-incompatibility in radish and sunflower, isolation and mapping of genes that control the production of apomeiotiche egg cells in alfalfa, apomixis in St. John's wort) ;Construction of genetic maps of agricultural and forestry species (corn, radish and willow) ;Characterization and valorisation of local germplasm of forest species For the recovery of degraded soils and the conservation of biodiversity in the context of an ecological network approach;Genetics and genetic improvement of the vine (genetic fingerprinting, local germoplasma valorisation, cloning of mushroom resistance and genomic and transcriptional cloning genes) ;Assisted selection for abiotic stress response (water, saline, ferric chlorosis) In the field of vines: development of molecular markers associated with the characters of interest through transcriptional approach
