Professor Kyle Stiegert pursued his Ph.D.in Agricultural Economics (Marketing and Trade)from Purdue University in 1993 and his M.S in Agricultural Economics (Marketing and Price Analysis)from University of Nebraska, 1989.He further studied B.S., Business Administration (Economics and Finance)from University of Nebraska in 1981.At present he is working as an professor in department of Agriculture and applied economics, University of Wisconsin-Madison.He is an agricultural economist interested in the industrial organization of the domestic and global food systems. His current research focuses on a new approach to estimating market power in food retailing, as well as examining trends in mergers in the food industry. As Director of the Food Systems Research Group, his outreach focuses on biotech seed markets, inputs, and potassium markets among other topics. Links
