Biography

Kurian P. Abraham, MD, joined the Department of Pathology in May 2010 and currently serves as medical director of pathology and laboratory medicine at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Ill. Prior to joining Rush, Abraham was director of cytopathology and medical director of Quest Diagnostics, Chicago Business Unit from 1994 to 2010. He completed his pathology residency at Loyola University Medical Center, serving as chief resident in 1990. In addition, Abraham completed his MBA in healthcare administration at Loyola University of Chicago. He has given many lectures and has published many peer reviewed articles. His special interests are in gynecological pathology, breast pathology and cytopathology. Abraham is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and cytopathology. He is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, the American Society of Cytopathology and the American Medical Association.
