Biography

Dr. Kevin T. Hinchey, MD, FACP serves as Chief Academic Officer and Senior Vice President at Baystate Health, Inc. Dr. Hinchey leads a team of highly skilled educators and researchers as they innovate around training the next generation of caregivers. Dr. Hinchey's professional career includes a number of innovations in education grants. He received one of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education-Residency Review Committee’s (ACGME-RRC) Educational Innovation Project (EIP) grant. In recognition of his leadership, he was elected Chair of the EIP collaborative. Dr. Hinchey joined Baystate Medical Center in 1988. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Baystate Medical Center and stayed on for an additional year as the Chief Medical Resident. He served as the program director for the internal medicine residency program at Baystate Medical Center- for 12 years. Dr. Hinchey holds undergraduate education from Williams College and graduating from Tufts University School of Medicine.
