Biography

I qualified as a registered nurse in 1994 having trained at a local school of nursing and studied at the University of Luton which then went on to become the University of Bedfordshire. I spent 10 years working in Trauma and Orthopaedics at a local hospital, becoming junior ward sister and acting ward manager. From there I became the manual handling trainer for all staff within the Trust, including training student nurses from the University on placement there, eventually becoming both moving and handling/back care advisor and falls improvement lead for the hospital.
