Biography

Dr. Das had got his Ph.D. in 1987 from Jadavpur University/ Indian Association for the Cultivation of Sciences. He is specialized in Physical Chemistry, Quantum Chemistry and Computational Chemistry and does research on Ab initio based molecular orbital methods, Multiconfiguration self-consistent-field MCSCF) methods, Non-relativistic and relativistic configuration interaction (CI) methods, Theoretical spectroscopy of small molecules, Quantum chemistry of large molecules in ground and excited states and Theoretical studies on the electronic structure and transport properties of nanotubes. He was awarded Marie-Curie Fellow by Commission of the European Community and Affiliate member of IUPAC by IUPAC.
