He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2004), a master's degree (2007) and a doctorate (2011) in Pathology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, USA, with financial assistance from CAPES. He is currently a graduate professor and permanent lecturer in the Master's Degree in Health Sciences at Universidade do Oeste Paulista. It acts mainly in the following subjects: mechanisms of preterm birth and premature rupture of membranes, chorioamnionitis, inflammatory and oxidative mediators, lower genital tract infection, molecular biology techniques.
