Biography

 She have a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (2004), a master's degree (2006) and a doctorate (2011) in Agricultural Microbiology from the Federal University of Viçosa. During the Master's degree she  had the opportunity to deepen my experience in antimicrobial resistance, studying beta-lactamases as the main mechanism of beta-lactam resistance in Escherichia coli. During her doctorate she worked with the actinomycete cellulases and did a one-year and four-month internship at Cornell University in the United States. After my thesis defense, she worked as a researcher at Biomm SA for two years in projects to produce cellulases for second generation ethanol and, also, purification of recombinant human insulin. After that, she worked as a postdoc at Cornell University, USA, for two years, with the ruminal microbioma of dairy cattle,
