Biography

Jonathan Claus provide inpatient infectious disease consultation services at both Erie County Medical Center (ECMC) and Buffalo General Medical Center (BGMC). In addition, he collaborate with the ECMC renal and pancreas transplant team to evaluate and treat infectious complications associated with solid organ transplantation. He feel honored to serve patients who receive a lifesaving organ in order to help live a normal life. Lastly, and see outpatients with various infectious disease problems at the immunodeficiency clinic at ECMC. the majority of my time is centered on patient care and teaching, and also involved with clinical research. My role is to identify and recruit patients for a variety of clinical trials designed to assess new modalities for the prevention or treatment of infectious diseases. Education and Training: Infectious Diseases, Rush University Medical Center (2014), Internal Medicine, Drexel University College of Medicine (2012), MD, St. George's University, Magna Cum Laude (2009), BS, Biology, Syracuse University, Cum Laude (2005). Professional Memberships: Infectious Diseases Society of America (2012–present). He gave Presentations: "Is my community causing my cough?" Primary Care CME Update, UBMD Physicians Group, Infectious Diseases (2016), "Poor predictive value of influenza-like illness (ILI) criteria in adult transplant patients." IDWeek, IDSA (2013).
