The Molecular Spectroscopy Group’s research interests center around the fundamental understanding of the photochemistry and photoreactivity of a variety of chemical systems. In particular, present interests focus on i) the biophysics of peptide models for amyloid fibril formation, especially the mechanism and dynamics of their aggregation process, ii) photophysics of organic semiconductors for use in optoelectronic devices, and iii) photochemistry of environmentally important molecules such as nitryl chlorides
