Ingimar has been working as an organizer, lecturer, and co-editor at the UNU Geothermal Training Programme since 2010 and became the Deputy Director in 2014. Current responsibilities include involvement in general management of the Programme, management of short courses abroad, participation in international cooperative projects, lecturing, and site visits to the developing countries. Prior to joining the UNU, Ingimar conducted a country-wide geothermal energy statistics assessment for the Icelandic National Energy Authority and worked as a project management team member for a binary power plant project in El Salvador.
