Professor Gong Lei has long been engaged in the main research of plant systematics and evolutionary biology. He received a Ph.D. in Genetics and Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at Iowa Sate University in the United States. During the Ph.D. and postdoctoral research, the main research direction is the evolutionary way and molecular mechanism of plant polyploidy. (Gossypium), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis), Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis) Peanut (Brassica) and Nicotiana (Nicotiana), and obtained a series of innovative academic achievements. There have been 16 SCI papers published by the first author or co-author, and the total number of citations (164) has been reached (to 2014).
