The activities of the Laboratory include both the preclinical experimental and the clinical reserach in the field of Emergency medicine. More specifically, the research focuses on investigating the mechanisms involved in the cardiac and cerebral injury after myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest. Thus, new treatments are investigated to reduce the cardiac and cerebral damage after cardiac arrest in the small (rat) and in the large animal (pig).
