Frank Barnas is a Professor of Broadcast Journalism and Mass Media with a professional history as a news reporter, screenwriter, and documentary producer. His work has spanned productions in Antarctica, Russia, Europe and the Americas. He has been recognized by groups including the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Worldfest Houston, the Columbus International Film Festival, the Broadcast Education Association, the Radio Television Digital News Association, and the Fulbright Commission. He served as VSU Mass Media Area Chair for 14 years, created the EMAC degree program, authored five textbooks, and received three Fulbright Awards. He currently teaches online graduate courses in American Media for Klaipeda University in Lithuania and serves on the editorial board of the European Journal Regional Formation and Development Studies.
