I joined Roswell Park Cancer Institute as an assistant member in 2017. Before coming to Roswell, I had seven years of training and work experience at the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics, National Cancer Institute (NCI), first as a postdoctoral fellow, then as an employee. I received an MD degree from Beijing Medical University in China in 2001, and an ScD from Harvard School of Public Health in 2010, with epidemiology as my major concentration. Biostatistics, and genetic and molecular epidemiology were my minors.I developed two research portfolios at NCI: 1) Smoking, genetic and molecular biomarkers, and lung cancer risk and screening; 2) Circadian rhythm, sleep, biomarkers and cancer. Here at Roswell, I plan to integrate my research expertise with the unique resources at RPCI to develop my future trajectories, such as studying smoking and smoking cessation, as well as circadian rhythm in oncology settings and/or populations of different ethnicities, with the purpose of cancer prevention, and improving patients’ survival and quality of life.
