He has a degree in Agronomy from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (1990), a Master's degree in Microbiology from the State University of Londrina (1995) and a PhD in Agronomy (Plant Protection) from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2003). He is currently a full-time professor (40h) working in 4 undergraduate courses (Agronomy, Biology, Environmental Engineering and Sugarcane Technology) and is also coordinator of the postgraduate program in Agronomy (Master and Doctorate) at Universidade do Oeste Paulista.
