Barrie is a senior scientist in the marine biosecurity team. He has expertise in the biology, impacts and control of marine pests. His particular interest in this field is the development of response tools and risk management approaches for aquaculture. More broadly, Barrie has a background in marine environmental management, and undertakes or contributes to many Cawthron projects on the effects of human activities on coastal ecosystems.
