Biography

Professor Colvin was educated in England and Canada: BA (Hons) (Oxford), MA (Reading), LLM (Toronto), PhD (Cambridge). He taught at several universities in Scotland and Canada before moving to Bond University in Australia, where he was Dean (1995-2000). He joined USP in 2011. He has written on issues in jurisprudence and Canadian constitutional law as well as the criminal law of Canada, Australia and the South Pacific Island nations. He has acted as a consultant to law reform agencies in Canada and Australia. His publications have often been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada.
