Biography

Professor Emilia Tjernström pursued her PhD from University of California, Davis, 2015 and her B.A. from Colby College, 2006.At present she is working as an assistant professor in department of Agriculture and applied economics, University of Wisconsin-Madison.Professor Emilia Tjernstroum is a micro economist with research interests in development economics, behavioural economics, and political economy. Her research to date draws on insights from behavioural economics, and employs econometrics and field experiments to study technology diffusion and the optimal design of public policy.She have research projects in Kenya, Nicaragua, Ghana and Fiji, on topics ranging from learning over social networks, to subjective expectations and technology adoption, to media content and political participation.
