Biography

Dr. Stephen Fitzgerald serves as the Director of Faculty Development at Trident University International. As an award-winning organizational psychologist, his research and practice is focused on complex collaboration and strengths-based change. His doctoral research was on global interfaith collaboration for social change, and through it he developed the Collaborative Capacity Framework based on research and practice from multiple disciplines with complex collaborations in all sectors. Dr. Fitzgerald has published and presented extensively for both academic and practitioner audiences on complex collaboration, appreciative inquiry, the role of the shadow, and organizational behavior, development, and change. His doctoral students’ work has been accepted for presentation at academic and practitioner conferences throughout the United States and in several other countries, nominated for best paper awards, and published in peer-reviewed journals.
