Dr. Nasreen Munshi graduated from Gujarat University and obtained degrees of M.Sc., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Microbiology. She is associated with Institute of Science, Nirma University as a faculty since the year 2009. Earlier she was associated with P. D. Patel Institute of Applied Sciences, CHARUSAT, Changa as well as Bhavnagar University. She is associated academically and as a recognized examiner for M.Sc. Life Science programs in Saurashtra University, CHARUSAT, Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and Bhavnagar University. She has delivered expert lectures in various student orientation programs, and as resource person in national and international conferences. Actively involved in research, she is working in the field of Environmental Microbiology specifically Industrial Waste Water Treatment, Microbial Fuel Cell Development, PGPR and Hydrocarbon Biosensor development and currently guiding Four Ph.D. students. She has published many papers in national and international Journals and as book chapters. She has presented papers in more than 35 national and international conferences and received best paper prizes in many of them. She also received a research award from Nirma University in September 2016 for executing a Collaborative Research Project funded by DBT, New Delhi.
