Biography

Born on 23 April 1961 in Rietberg / Westf. 1980 Abitur at the Gymnasium Nepomucenum in Rietberg / Westf. 1980-1987 studied Latin Philology, Greek Philology and Education in Münster; Graduation: First State Examination (sec. I / II) 1993 Ph.D. with the work "The Platonist of Tauros in the Presentation of Aulus Gellius" (Leiden 1995, Philosophia Antiqua 63) 1988-1998 and 2000-2002 Research Assistant at the Institute of Antiquity Studies at the University ("Prosopographia Platonicorum": Prosopographical representation of all (middle-) Platonists from the 1st cent. To the 2nd cent. In the research project "The Platonism in Antiquity" (leader: Prof. Dr. Matthias Baltes) A.D.)
