Biography

Ellie McDonald was one of the original project coordinators for the Maternal Health Cohort Study, and was responsible for designing the participant recruitment, tracking and outcome databases for the cohort working with the six participating study hospitals. Dr McDonald currently leads a program of research focusing on women's sexual health after childbirth drawing on data from the first six waves of the Maternal Health Study. Her PhD entitled 'Women's sexual health after childbirth' was awarded in May 2014, and she is presently writing up a series of papers from the study. She is also involved in the 10-year follow-up of women and children in the Maternal Health Study cohort and continues to play a major role in database design for the study.
