Biography

Dr. D. Arulbalachandran is the Assistant Professor of the Department of Botany at Periyar University. He pursued his M.Sc. in Botany - Annamalai University, India and Ph.D. in Botany (Crop Mutation Breeding) – Annamalai University, India. His Area of Specialisation is Cytogenetics Ø Phylogenetic analysis Ø Genetic diversity Ø Mutation analysis Ø Biochemistry of Protein Ø Sequence of proteins Ø Chlorophyll chemistry Ø Chromosomal aberrations Ø Gene expression in crops Ø Crop Breeding Ø Molecular Genetics. He attended . Two days workshop on “Developing a Model Syllabus for Improving Writing Skills of Researchers across Disciplines”. Department of English, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar Tamil Nadu, India from March 15th and 16th –March- 2005.
