Biography

Dr. Cláudia N. H. Marques is working as Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University. She has done BS from Catholic University of Portugal, MS from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and PhD from University of the West of England. Currently she is working on a sub-population of dormant/low metabolic bacterial cells that occur both in biofilm and planktonic populations.

Research Intrest

Biofilms, antimicrobial tolerance, persister populations, multi-species biofilms and host-microbe interactions.
