Ameer is forward thinking and innovative Computer Security and Digital Forensic,Investigator, researcher and educator who has acquired more than 7 yearsextensive experience including designing and leading information security projects and programmes. Ameeris a senior lecturer at the School of Architecture, Computing and Engineering,University of East London (UEL). He also the Director of Professional Doctoratein Information Security & the MSc Information Security and DigitalForensics programmes. In addition, Ameer is the founder and the director of theElectronic Evidence Laboratory, UEL. Ameer is a research active in the area ofcybercrime and digital forensics where he has been publishing research papersin peer-reviewed conferences and internationally reputed journals. He is a co-editorof the book “Issues in Cybercrime, Security, and Digital Forensics”. He alsowas the guest editor of the special issue of the International Journal ofElectronic Security and Digital Forensics (IJESDF). Ameerhas led a Cybercrime Programme Project with a German institution, which won forthe second time in a row, the “Good Practice Award” from The EuropeanCommission under the Leonardo da Vinci scheme which focuses on the teaching andtraining needs of those involved in vocational education and training.” Ameerwas also nominated as the “Best Lecturer” for 2015 - Student Led Teaching Awards – Spotlight on Great Teaching 2015.
